Spontaneous energetic exchange between two souls

– Beneficial for spiritual development, but not necessarily a sign of being soul mates

I came to the Knights Templar town Tomar in Portugal late in the evening, after I landed in Porto with a plane that had been redirected from Lissabon because of the sudden powercut that effected most of southern Europe that day.

As I woke up the next day, I went down to the living room, where the group was gathering. I greeted them one by one with hugs, as we often do among lightworker colleagues.

One of the participants was a man, that I met for the first time at this occasion. I sensed a loving presence and a feeling of being on common ground. He looked puzzled when he greeted me, but he didn’t say anything other than “Hi!”.

It was only later that he shared the strange experience that overcame him at that moment. At the moment, when we greeted each other, he had the strangest experience of the energy of his heart chakra protruding out in a square, while he sensed the energy of my heart chakra coming out as a circle.

He was then cast out of his body and seeing himself from above. But when he was looking at where his body was placed, he did not see himself, but the Danish spiritual teacher Lars Muhl. And the eyes he was looking at Lars through, was those of Lars’ teacher, Calle de Montsegur.

The experience lasted only for a short moment before he was back in his body. It was through this experience, that he looked puzzled at me.

The night after this special meeting he had a vivid dream of knights templars hanging out with some kind of priestesses, where both groups could feel safe in each other’s presence. The dream was so vivid and prolonged, that it seemed to be a past life memory, that might have been rewoked by the experience at our meeting.

Fortunately he was brave enough to share the experience and the dream with me and my colleague Marianne Lane, who was in charge of the retreat in Tomar. Marianne helped us interpret what happened.

She saw that our energy fields had prepared that we could make an exchange of energy, when meeting each other at this special location in the held field of the retreat. This was possible due to what we were each bringing with us in personal fields, which is shaped by our experiences and characters.

She said that his squared heart was a symbol of the completion of cosmic consciousness while my round heart symbolized the completion of earth consciousness (not that we carry the completed state in our day-to-day personal consciousness!).

The vision of Calle and Lars symbolized the relationship between a teacher and an apprentice, which the relationship between Marianne and I somehow mirrors. It was meant to make him understand things about his own relationship to being a student on the path and wonder about what or who was teaching him, she said.

An important point we came to through our investigation of the energy exchange, was that when experiences like this happen, it can often be confusing, because we tend to take it personally. When two people meet and sense a special energy, they often take it to mean, that their souls have a special relationship.

But this meeting was between two souls who have worked within a common school of mysteries, and who therefore could help each other on the way. It was impersonal.

When I wondered about why this happened, I mentioned to the others, that I often have been given the role of opening the hearts of men. It has happened naturally and has led to much confusion. I have found that it is because of the energy, connection and healing that I am carrying, that this happens. I have felt that they have seen a larger energy field, that I am connected to, that has awoken their hearts. Marianne stressed, that I carry this because my personality is suitable of being a conduit for that energy, and that the personality and the energy you are channeling or carrying a connection to need to match in order to be effectful.

When these heart opening meetings have happened, the men involved have often been confused, because they sensed a reaction in their otherwise closed or hurt hearts, and therefore concluded that they had to be in love with me.

When I told the others of this history of mine, it turned out that my new friend here in Tomar has had a similar history. Women have felt the energy that he has carried and reacted to it so much, that he ended up closing his practice as a therapist, because his female clients kept on falling in love with him.

When both being familiar with this theme and with playing this role of awakening the hearts around us, it was clear that the energy exchange could happen because we both had gathered experiences of this theme.

He explained, that in spite of having played that heart opening role for many years, he had in recent years closed his heart to women in order to protect himself after having lost his trust in the feminine.

Some days later we came to the area of Serra de Estrella, he went out to a meadow one evening and found an old well. When he came back, we found out, that we could go there together to allow the rest of the exchange to take place. It had been interrupted, because he was so surprised at the moment when it happened, so we did not unfold it completely at that time.

We went there a beautiful evening with the meadows flowering fully and the birds singing in the sunset. As we came to the well, I felt that we had to be on each side of it. When I sat on the side of it, I felt how I could step into representing the divine feminine while he was manifesting the divine masculine.

I received some visions about his process, and then I asked the field, what there was for me to receive in the meeting. I then felt something opening in the outer rim of my heart. It felt like a petal of the rose of the heart that ripened from experiencing the safety that the feminine needs to feel by being in the presence of the balanced and protective masculine. Above the well I saw a gentle mother-of-pearl like glow, that I sensed to be the pure light that can be used for creation, when the masculine and feminine combine their consciousness and power in a pure way.

When he afterwards shared his experience, he had also seen a white light opening in an upwards moving spiral above the well.

This experience to me serves as a confirmation that we are here to heal and help each other move forward on the path, and if we dare to be curious about mysterious experiences like this, it is possible to get glimpses of the transcendent reality that we are also existing in. It is important to note that experiences like this does not necessarily mean that you are soul mates or from the same soul group. There can be many other connections and reasons for two higher selves to utilize a meeting to help facilitate two people’s evolution on the path towards oneness.
